We are looking for a 'connector' who can leverage their existing Otaki/Te Horo network to bring the business community together and help support local business to grow. This will be achieved through facilitating business networking, managing marketing/media and connecting businesses to relevant support services. This is initially a three month role with an immediate start. The primary purpose of this role is to build collaboration amongst Otaki's business community in order to promote our town. Also, to assist local businesses with access to support services enabling them to survive and thrive through the current challenges. The role will achieve this by: Listening and advocating for the initiatives and ideas put forward by local businesses - encouraging, creating, and facilitating their implementation. Supporting local businesses through the COVID-19 recovery by connecting to support networks and appropriate subsidies. Creating and leading of greater Õtaki promotional opportunities Expanding and leading the benefits of digital and traditional promotional opportunities. Who we are looking for: We are looking for a motivated individual or company with knowledge, experience and a desire to assist businesses to thrive. You will be happy working on the ground, be great at networking, and developing relationships. You will have relevant marketing, promotional and social media experience. We need you to get stuck into this role straight away, so you need to have a deep understanding of the Otaki and Te Horo community and established connections to the area.
