The Coach Approach is primarily a model of communication whereby the 'Coach' uses powerful questions, among many other skills, to assist the 'Coachee' to explore their situation / challenge through new perspectives and options. The 'Coachee' is acknowledged as the expert of themselves, which is very constructive and empowering. QU: Who would benefit from the Momentum Training? The Momentum Coach Approach is beneficial to anyone who deals with people on a professional or personal level. The communication skills are as useful in Workplace Management to Health, Education, Business, Parenting and Personal Fulfilment! The versatile model and skills can be integrated into an existing profession, or trainees can become Professional and Personal Coaches. QU: How is Coaching different from Counselling or Therapy? The Coaching model is PRESENT into FUTURE - oriented. The key focus is to identify WHERE the 'client' is at in the Present, WHAT they want to achieve, and to offer the skills to moe them forward. The 'Coachee' is respected as knowledgeable and is supported to action their potential. There is of course a time and a place for the healing that occurs in therapy - coaching is not therapy. QU: What is the course structure? Small groups of upto 8 trainees meet once a week for 4 hours over 12 weeks. There is both a daytime option (10:00 - 14:00) OR a night option (18:00 22:00). The training is rich in discussion and experience. QU: Can I meet with someone to discuss if it is suitable for me to do the training? Yes. All applicants have an entrance interview to discuss their personal requirements, situation and expectations to make sure there is a good 'fit'.
