Paula van den Heuvel has recently joined our team as a Clinical Advisory Pharmacist with over 20 years experience in both community and hospital pharmacy. She is passionate about all things related to medication management with a special interest in improving health outcomes for older people. Paula is available within the practice to see patients. She specialises in helping patients understand the changes made to their medications whilst in hospital and ensuring that any changes made are not only communicated to the patient, but to their GP and Community Pharmacy as well. Apart from medication reviews, Paula is also available to help patients understand how their medicines work and why they are prescribed, discuss problems with medications including suspected or unwanted side effects, and to help with understanding any potential drug interactions.
