Grace was trained through the Australian Institute of Ultrasound and being a Physiotherapist, helps with accurate anatomical knowledge and diagnosis. Ultrasound is a useful diagnostic tool which uses sound waves to assess and grade a variety of muscle, tendon, ligament, nerve and bony injuries. Ultrasound is a noninvasive technique, it is a safe scanning tool which does not use radiation to produce an image. Ultrasound is not a treatment technique, it is a diagnostic tool used to help with the diagnosis of an injury. Ultrasound within our clinic can be used to diagnose: Muscle tears . Tendon injuries Ligament sprains or tears . Nerve entrapment or injuries e.g. carpal tunnel, ulnar nerve subluxation etc . Fluid or inflammation within a joint or bursa.
