We deliver a range of services to our community. When you are new to the district there are a number of things you need to know fairly quickly. South Waikato Sport and Events Centre, Mossop Rd, Tokoroa The Plaza Performing Theatre, Kensington St, Putruru Leisure and outdoor Opening times vary. See our website. There are a number of rural reserves, sportsgrounds and playgrounds in the district that are a great way to unwind and enjoy as a family. Check out: Te Waihou Walkway and Blue Spring, access via Whites Rd or Leslie Rd, Putruru Jim Barnett Reserve, access off Te Waotu Rd, Putruru Cougar Park, Mossop Road, Tokoroa Tirau Domain, SH1, Tirau Solid waste-rubbish and recycling, Council provides a kerbside collection for its urban towns, but doesn't provide a rural collection service. Recycling DOS and DON'Ts can be found on our website. We have several waste facilities in the district for both rubbish and recycling drop off: Tirau Recycling (ONLY) drop off: Patetere St, Tirau - Mon, Wed, Sat, 1pm to 5pm. Putruru Transfer Station: SH1, just south of Putaruru - Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun, 9am to 4pm. Tokoroa Transfer Station: Newell Rd, just north of Tokoroa - Tues to Sunday, 9am to 4pm/5pm or 6pm (season dependent). Libraries Services: books, magazines, talking books, DVDs, Wifi, digital support, copying, printing, scanning, Justice of the Peace (weekly), click and collect, housebound, Toddler Tales, Summer reading programmes, lego club... and more...
