COMMUNITY NOTICEBOARD - MAY 27 2020 Waimakariri District Council Supporting Local With the move to Alert Level 2 it's been great to see people out and about supporting local businesses in our towns and we hope that this continues. Council will be working closely with Enterprise North Canterbury. among others, to help develop a Recovery Plan for the District. Enterprise North Canterbury play a plvotal role in supporting local businesses. They provide guidance, training and events, as well as providing info about financial support and grants available. They've helped a significant number of businesses over the last few weeks and continue to do so - you can find out more here northcanterbury.co.nz There is a button on our website homepage at waimakariri govt.nz where you can do this. You will see our staff out and about monitoring car park usage over the next week before we move back to Oxford-Ohoka Community Board Wednesday 3 June at 7pm. If you're a town centre worker who has been using these spaces, please move back to the free on-street parks on the outskirts of the town as this frees up parks for shoppers Snap Send Solve App Woodend-Sefton Community Board Monday 8 June at 6pm. Rangiora-Ashley Community Board Wednesday 10 June at 7pm. Land and Water Committee Thursday 11 June at 9:30am. Will be held Update Your Details Now and visitors. From Friday 12 June we will need to sort glass by colour at the Southbrook Resource Recovery Park. We'll be changing to a two-bin system with brown glass in one bin and green and clear glass (including wine bottles) in another. The Council are deliberating the Draft Annual Plan and subsequent rates for the 2020/21 as Mahi Tahi Joint Development Committee Tuesday 16 June at 9.30am. District Planning and Regulation we go to print. We will update our website and Facebook page later this week with the outcome of those meetings and will provide more detail in next week's Community Noticeboard.
