WAIMAKARIRI DISTRI CT COUNCIL Property Maintenance and Nuisance Control Bylaw Hearings Panel A hearing of the Property Maintenance and Nuisance Control Bylaw was held on Tuesday 18 August 2020 at 3.10pm in the Function Room, Rangiora Town Hall, 303 High Street, Rangiora. The meeting was not notified in accordance with Section 46(6) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, due to time constraints. The outcome from the hearing is as follows: That the Property Maintenance and Nuisance Control Bylaw 2019 Hearing Panel: (a) Amends the Proposed Property Maintenance Bylaw as follows: a. That the definition of long grass in an urban environment would be 200mm or longer. b. That the text "nuisance and" be removed from section 3. c. That the text "or created a habitat suitable for vermin to live and breed" should be removed from the paragraph 4.5. (b) That the amended Proposed Property Maintenance Bylaw 2020 be presented to the District Planning and Regulation Committee.
