About
Emily Henderson lives in Whangārei with her husband and four children. It’s where she grew up and went to school, and where her father founded the law practice she now works in. These strong connections are part of her motivation to improve the lives of people in her community.
Emily’s legal practice spans family court work to negotiating major criminal justice reforms both in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.
As the electorate MP for Whangārei, Emily would be a strong voice in a Labour-led Government.
Emily is determined to work hard to effect postive change on the issues that affect families: child poverty, family violence, housing, healthcare, and education. She’s committed to action on the climate. And she’ll make sure the electorate gets trades training, apprenticeship, and job opportunities through the Kia Kaha projects – naval relocation, dry dock, port expansion, railway link, and roading.
