EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: WEEKEND/EVENING HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT FOR POST-STROKE SURVIVOR Full-time role - position filled. Now looking for an employee for part-time weekend/ some evening work. We are looking for a caring, positive and motivated person/s in an assistant/rehabilitation role to care for a family member at home following a ruptured brain aneurysm/stroke on both a Saturday and Sunday (daytime hours) and some evenings during the week. Duties will be varied but would include personal cares ina fully refurbished wheel-chair friendly bathroom and being actively involved in undertaking rehabilitation exercises provided by the rehabilitation team when required. You would also be required to drive a wheel-chair van and support the client with activities such as crafts, shopping and errands. The role would also involve meal preparation and housekeeping. The potential candidate must feel confident using both a manual wheelchair and powered wheelchair and hold a current valid driver's licence to be able to drive the client in a wheelchair van. A strong and fit candidate who is physically able and has experience working with disability equipment is advantageous when working with the client.
