EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: CAREGIVER FOR POST-STROKE SURVIVOR We are looking for a caring, positive and motivated person/s in a caregiver role to care for a family member at home following a ruptured brain aneurysm/stroke. Duties will be varied but would include personal cares in a fully refurbished wheel-chair friendly bathroom using an overhead ceiling hoist and commode chair. You would be required to drive a wheel-chair van when needed to support the client with appointments and personal tasks such as town errands and shopping. The role would also involve meal preparation and housekeeping and some outside gardening maintenance when required, especially when the client is sleeping. The potential candidate/s must feel confident using both a manual wheelchair and powered wheelchair and hold a current valid driver's licence to be able to drive the client in a wheelchair van. A strong and fit candidate/s who is physically able and has experience working with disability equipment is advantageous when working with the client. The workplace is a home-based environment and would suit a person comfortable working in a close-knit team environment on a daily basis.
