KIA KAHA TEAWHINA Häwera High School Property Manager We are seeking a full time, permanent, Property Manager for 40 hours per week. This position will involve various maintenance and supervisory duties including: Manage property budget which is set annually in conjunction with the Executive Officer. Arrange contractors as necessary to perfom specialised work around the school, e.g. plumbers, electricians, etc. Take responsibility for and liaise with school contractors such as lawn mowing, rubbish collection etc., and Ministry of Education appointed contractors such as Fire Safety, etc. Oversee and take part in call out roster for after-hours emergencies - fire, security, etc. Run daily 'Toolbox' meetings with Maintenance Team. Daily, weekly and monthly building and vehicle safety checks. Maintain Workplace Safety by: O Maintaining safe work habits and behaviour O Reporting any unsafe hazards noticed O Making appropriate recommendations to Management. O Attend school wide Health & Safety meetings The successful applicant will have experience in managing and maintaining property. They will be able to demonstrate clear communication skills, prioritise tasks, be aware of and follow school policies and health and safety regulations. The person will be committed to the school's values and an ability to relate positively with young adults, and work collaboratively with colleagues and contractors. Applicant must have a current NZ Drivers Licence. Police Vetting will be required.
