There is now a worldwide health pandemic and countries are moving quickly to secure their borders and reduce public gatherings. Now is the time for Hamiltonians to be prepared and health professionals in the city and the crisis shows we will need to train more in the future. This is an unprecedented time for our country and the world. Most of us have never experienced a worldwide crisis. It will mean many changes for our day to day lives as we take the precautions to keep our community safe. Please take care out there and look look after each other. One of the strengths of our city is the ability to look after each other. The increasing number of cases of coronavirus will likely grow, it is timely now to consider what we can all do to minimise risk and help others. after your families, neighbours and especially our senior citizens. These are going to be difficult times and we need to come together to help our community. If anyone is having difficulties in the city then feel free to contact me on 021 988 277. We will try and get you the assistance you may require. The general approach countries are taking is to try and 'flatten the curve' of the virus to reduce the stress on our public health system. New Zealand is uniquely placed with our geographical position to do this but we are also entering our most dangerous time with the flu season.
