They are ideal for families, with four short walks you can do seperately or as one bigger walk. Being a keen mountain biker, he loves our district tracks. He recommends the tracks at Centennial Park. There are heaps of tracks there, for all ages and abilities, from absolute beginner to challenging single tracks. You can pretty much spend all day there trying out the different tracks. Pack a picnic, or cook a barbeque. Keep an eye (or ear) out for The Vintage Car and Machinery Museum is open all weekend. They hold a current TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, and their reviews are outstanding. If you havent visited yet make sure you add it to your list. There's approximately 15km of flat scenic track from Waimataitai past Jacks Point lighthouse.
