Directors - Nelson Marina Management Board Exceptional opportunity to govern the reinvigoration of Nelson Marina Nelson City Council is seeking to recruit five new board members and a chairperson, for the new Nelson Marina Management Board. The Board's focus is to deliver the Nelson Marina Masterplan, including the estimated $140m of development projects. The Masterplan aims to transform Nelson Marina into a modern, integrated marine and recreational facility. It will also open business opportunities for the marina, tenants and wider Whakatu/ Nelson community. We want to establish a board with a range of experience and skill. The Board members need to have exceptional commercial and financial acumen, and prior governance experience. Because of our marina development priorities, we are also looking for strong experience in property/ commercial and vertical infrastructure development. Ideally board members will understand the maritime sector, including an awareness of the blue economy and our region's potential to grow in this area. Knowledge and commitment to ensuring that public realm values of the marina are maintained and enhanced is also required.
