The best time to go is April through to June, whilst in September and October there are fewer crowds and hotel rates are low. Annual temperatures range from 26°C to 31°C all year long and the winters are mild. Gail, from our store, has just returned from a quick 4 night trip visiting various hotels and tourist spots in Waikiki. Here are a few of her favorites: Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk Very popular with New Zealanders as it has no resort fees and is located steps from the beach. Great for families and couples, the Embassy Suites is situated in the heart of Waikiki Beach Walk shopping and dining district. The hotel offers one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites each with a separate living room and includes complimentary breakfast daily, Wi-Fi and a nightly two-hour Poolside Evening Reception, with unlimited drinks. All rooms have recently been renovated with the last section to be finished by June 2020. They have 3 restaurants onsite and one of them, Yard House, boasts the largest selection of beers on tap. Sheraton Waikiki Located on Waikiki Beach and another great hotel for families. The rooms have two double beds or one king bed as well as two-bedroom, two-bathroom Suites which will take up to 7 people. The views are outstanding, looking out over the beach and Diamond Head. The hotel has two pools, one of which is an adults-only, infinity pool looking out over the ocean. Facilities include a kids club and a club lounge which includes breakfast, afternoon canapés and drinks. Restaurants include the Kai Market which serves a beautiful buffet and Rumfire which is an all-day, all-night hotspot with its own private label of Single Barrel rum. Always keep an eye out for Resort fees when booking any type of accommodation in Hawaii these are mandatory nightly charges that cover Wi-Fi, use of pool, trolley bus, yoga classes, discount vouchers and the like. There is so much to see and do in Hawaii. A "must see" is Pearl Harbour (particularly the uSS Arizona Museum). For the adventurous, take a hike up Diamond Head or go for a snorkel at Hanauma Bay. A sail on a catamaran or a traditional Hawaiian canoe ride. Dining options are many and varied, and don't forget the shopping. The International Market Place on Kalakaua Drive, the Ala Moana Centre (which is one of the largest open-air shopping centres in the world) and outlet shopping at Waikele are choices to satisfy any retail craving.
