Happy Birthday Franklin Hospital for all patients and their Whanau which is Your experience our Pride, and they continue to do this every day Twelve months ago, give or take a few days, Franklin Hospital and its staff were ready to open the doors to our first patients. 24 hours later we were in Level 4 lock down and all our energies seemed to be wasted. Lockdown in 2021 proved to be a double-edged sword for us being unable to see patients for a couple of weeks which gave us the opportunity to ensure that all of our policies and procedures were in place. It also meant that a significant amount of our instruments and some equipment were delayed in transit to delays caused by COVID-19. Our Management team and board of Directors are extremely proud of our staff and our facilities. The Franklin family of healthcare professionals provide an amazing service to our patients, their families and the specialists who work with us. Endoscopy was the first service off the rank providing screening to patients who were having problems with their upper and lower Gl tract. By the end of September, we had started performing surgical operations on a wide range of people who had been waiting some considerable time for their surgeries. Sadly, Covid restricted visitors and whanau from being on site with their loved ones. The staff love the surroundings they were working in, and our wonderful patients lit the fire and brought the passion into providing care for people in our community. Feedback from patients was amazing and continues to be so. As we continue to grow, we hope to provide more services to the Franklin community, surrounding areas to anyone who would like to have Surgery or Endoscopy procedures here at Franklin Hospital.
