Check out the Feilding & Districts Community Archive Feilding Railway Station royally decorated for the visit on 1 May 1920 by Edward, Prince of Wales. Representing his father, King George V, Edward visited New Zealand in part to thank the Dominion for its contribution to the Empire's war effort. He spent four weeks travelling the country aboard a lavishly appointed Royal Train and by coach, visiting 50 cities and towns from Auckland to Invercargill.
