SOUTHLAND DISTRICT COUNCIL s HAVE YOUR SAY ON OUR DRAFT ALCOHOL CONTROL BYLAW Southland District Council is keen to hear people's views on the draft Alcohol Control Bylaw 2022. The bylaw prohibits the possession and consumption of alcohol in specific public places within the Southland District, which is currently limited to central Te Anau. It also allows Council to establish further temporary alcohol bans in other areas when required. You can make a submission and obtain information about the consultation process, including our Statement of Proposal and the draft bylaw, online at our consultation website www.makeitstick.nz or at your local Council area office. The submission period begins 8am on 29 August 2022 and closes 5pm on 29 September 2022.
