Health and disability services continue to be available during Alert Level3. Acommunity-based assessment centre (CBAC) is where you can get screened, assessed and tested for COVID-19. It's important that youdo not neglect your health because of concerns around COVID-19. Health services can provide advice if you and your whinau are unwell. All CBAC services are free of charge. Contact your GPor Healthline for help, or call 1 for emergencies, When should I contacta CBAC or GP? General practices are open, with appointments conducted online or by phone unless you need to see a doctor or nurse face-to-face. You should contact a CBAC or your GPit you develop COVID-19symptoms. These are: Afever (high temperature of 38°C or more) A cough GPs and nurses will provide urgent care and care for long-term conditions, mental healthneeds and commonillnesses. You will be referred to specialists if needed. Shortness of breath ortrouble breathing Asorethroat Sneezing and a runnyor dripping nose Atemporary loss of sense of smell Hospitals are open for emergency care and some outpatient procedures. They are safe to visit - any patients with COVID-19 symptoms are being cared for in an isolation ward.
