By-Election to Fill (One) Vacancy on the Waikanae Community Board Notice of Election, Nomination of Candidates and Closing Date for the Receipt of Nominations. Under Section 52 of the Local Electoral Act 2001, I hereby give notice that on Saturday 7 November 2020, a by-election will be held to fill the vacancy which now exists on the Waikanae Community Board. The by-election will be held by postal vote under the Single Transferable Voting (STV) electoral system. Nominations for the vacancy will open on Friday 14 August 2020 and completed nominations must be in my hands at the address shown below no later than noon Friday 11 September 2020. Candidates are encouraged to submit a candidate profile statement of up to 150 words and a recent colour photograph with their nomination paper.
