CAMBRIDGE DENTAL PRACTICE. CAMBRIDGE DENTAL PRACTICE STAYING FIT Dr Rosalind Peart I had an experience this week that made me Of course I have every excuse in the world but the fact is I have laugh at myself. And reminded me that I should practice what I preach. My hygienist Sian and I spend a great deal of our time talking to people about ongoing maintenance, proper oral health care at home, and the need for regular dental exams to avoid the damaging effects of oral disease. We're disappointed when our patients don't take this message not done myself any good. Alison is very kind and greatly encouraging but I have no doubt that a part of her must be saying "You silly goose. Look how much fitness you've lost and it's going to be a hard road to get back to where you were." Our mouths are just a part of our body and we need to take care of it. The choice is very simple. Make some effort and at 75 you could be sitting at the top of Maungatautari Mountain snacking on a delicious picnic or languishing on the couch soaking a biscuit in tea because your dentures can't cope with much more. Harsh but true. on board! I went to a Small Group Training Session with my friend Alison of Storey Sport this week. It feels as if I've been hit by a truck. No fault of Alison's. I've just been a lazy fool and have neglected to do any real exercise for some months now.
