Chisnallwood Intermediate School An innovative school rich in resources and opportunities CHISNALLWOOD INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL ADDRESS BY PRINCIPAL MIHI WHAKATAU Dear Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers and Whanau Kia Ora and warm greetings for 2020, Our wonderful Mih Whakatau to start our school year with 1000 people on site was a truly memorable occasion and a strong foundation to what i am sure wil be another great year at Chisnalwood. An important part of our transition for year 7 students is doing Top team. This allows students to do team building, fun activities with fellow class members. This was a very enjoyable experience for our new year 7. Year 7 will also be going to Blue skies to do further team building activities. At the start of each year tSke to acknowledge all those who have made Chisnallwood the great school that it is. Messs Chisnall and Wood for donating the land, Me Ron Bodger who chaired the establishment Mr Jenkins the fest principal. On the retirement of Mr Jenkins in 1976, Mr Taylor became tof Chisnallwood and e Principal, a position Mr Taylors tim Mr Richard Paton was then appointed in 1991, spending twenty five years as Principal - an incredble achievement. It was such a special time and fantastic way to start off our 2020 year. Chisnallwood Inteemediane remains a beacon school in eant Christchurch. All around us schools have dosed, communities diarupted and new schools opened. Throughout this time, Chisnallwood has stood strong within our community. We are confident in who we are, and we kook forward to a bright future.
