Our music programme continues to function at an encelent standard. We have many different music proups, catering to a wide variety of needs. Thanks to Mra Bell our students continue to perform outstandingly in all areas of mesic, and we have record numbers engaging in our music programme. If you attend our Open Night i encourage you to visit the performing arts centre. Students get a wonderfut technology experience an Chisnalwood. Examples of this include Robotronica, which isa combination of robotica and electronics. We also offer Computer Science end students can eccess the IT room at lunchtimes to explore these skis further, or pop next door to our radio station. Students can do exra learning in mechatronics, which is linked to a UC programme, join our coding dub or do entension art Our science laboranories continue 1o thrive es students explore the wonderful possiblities that science provides. We have a soience teacher to entunce our science programme. We also have hard materials where students work with ditferent materials and food techoology, which ia always a popular opnion The range of sports we cater for is immense, at last count 18. Furthermore our sporte development programme caters for our elte athietes. Tuesday intermediane sports compesitions allow students to compene againat high calibre opponents. Furthermore we cater for al studenta via our Tuonday Leisure Education programme. am very encited that this year we can attend the Aims games in Tauranga ater it was postponed in 2000. Prior to the Aims games we have the Caims games, so there is a lot to look forward to for our anhletes Chianalwood is part of the Orakaro Kahui ako, which recenty held a hugely successhul steft only day for our 7 schools and 14 ECEs. The advantages of being in e Kahui ako are that you get strong consistency and transitions for your child These strong relationahios lead to success for the tamariki in our community.
