Chianalwood rock bands and sound techs were lucky enough to meet the NZ music legends Shapeshiter on their current tour. We were welcomed into the Town Hall and were greeted by another legend TI Taane who showed us around the amazing sound desk he uses Teaching and Leaning: 1) ICAS tests in: Science, Writing. Digitech, English, Spelling. Maths for extension students 2) Student led conferences 31 Science Travis Wetland trip 4) St John's first aid training 5I Writers workshops 61 Science fair 71 Formal speech competition 81 Get Smart financial literacy lessons 9) Cantamaths Cultural 1) Intensive practice by our Kapahaka and Pasifika groups in preparation for the upcoming Otakaro cultural festival 2) Maori language woek 31 Cook Islands and Tongan language weeks JazQuesl Performing arts: 1) Jazzquest secondary competition achieved bronze award 21 Marzipan drama for students passionate about drama 31 Orchestra performance at the town hall 4) Bandquest Congratulations to the Jazz combo on the bronze award where all the Sport: 11 Ietermediate sports on Tuesday's 2) Basketball at Cowles stadium 31 Ski days 4) Aims games in Teuranga 5) Caims tournament 61 Duathlon 71 Sports development train at QE2 other combos were from secondary schools! was also wonderful to see ex-studenvts Dylan Jonkers win best bass player and Willam Kao win best trombonist and best musician awards. (Among many exstudents performing in groups and one now a coacht That is why Chisnalwood Intermediate is known as the school of opportunities!l Nga mihi, Year 7 Shi Tips Our Year 7 classes have started their ski tips to Porters Alpine Resort. Rawaru 66, Te Oranga 18 and Rapanui 22 were the first classes to go and had a fantastic day of aking in perfect weather.
